| I wrote this at the beginning of a relationship attempting to use a prose format. I never showed it to its intended but I did include it in my high school theatre class autodrama (one person play) "Words of Expression". |

| My life was filled with darkness; |
| sadness, hurt, and gloom. |
| In my life there was no meaning or joy, |
| just pain, sorrow, and immense emptiness. |
| My path of life was dark and hard to see, |
| so I sat down, in tears and lived in the darkness. |
| I looked into the my soul, the dark gloomy hell, |
| and whispered a prayer, just one tiny prayer. |
| When I opened my eyes I saw a glimmer of light from afar, |
| a light like that of a guiding star. |
| So, I packed up my worries, my troubles, and strife |
| and started back onto the path of my life. |
| I walked toward the light each night and each day, |
| as I prayed to god that it not go away. |
| Then from the void where my sorrows once flowed, |
| came a new feeling from very far below. |
| I felt very happy and my heart became bright, |
| as I stepped from my darkness and walked into the light. |
| My sorrow is now gone and my problems are eased, |
| my path is now clear and my darkness has ceased. |
| There is a new guiding force that walks softly beside me |
| and stays in my heart where it always will guide me. |
| This force is a river that flows deep with love, |
| and was sent by my maker, dwelling high above. |
| This force is none other than attention and love, |
| and it comes from a person that's as pure as a dove. |
| In my heart I feel a new kind of feeling, |
| one that is soft and keeps my heart whirling. |
| This feeling I feel is much more than plain happiness, |
| it goes beyond all joy and all gladness. |
| This is a feeling so wonderful and true, |
| that I can truly call it, "My love for you!" |
