This is a poem that I wrote while I was in college.
|
The kiss that means "I love you,"
Is the most important kiss of all.
Mere words cannot transcend that which calls
So softly in the night and makes me feel anew.
The kiss that means "I love you,"
So important is it that I must
Assure you: it's not born of greed or lust,
But of something which I never knew.
Whatever we decide to do
It is the kiss that means "I care,"
And whether or not we pull through
This lasting truth to you I swear.
The kiss that means "I love you,"
Is each one, each day-we share.
